Below you will find Helpful Hints to know when using and selling Universal Rocks Products.

  • 3 different installation methods:
    • o Simply trim to suit coping of pool, cutting foam underneath at a slight angle so that the adhesive will not push out to be visible on outer edge. Use ‘Sikaflex’ or a similar polyurethane or polyurea adhesive. Upon request small bags of color may be purchased to camouflage excess adhesive.
    • o Simply trim to suit coping of pool then secure in place by using masonry screws, for best results screw in, at approximately 1½ “ high from bottom edge of waterfall or rock, at a 45O angle into coping of pool. Depending on size of rock or waterfall, quantity of screws may vary. Screw heads may then be camouflaged using ‘Sikaflex’ or similar polyurethane or Polyurea adhesive and applying color by hand in a dusting like process.
    • o As seen on our website, a full installation procedure is shown using blocks of wood, bolted to pool coping and securing waterfall and edge rocks to those supports. Please go to Installation Videos to view installation.

  • When installed correctly, Universal Rocks Products can be walked and climbed on, although we do suggest that each rock and/or waterfall is assessed to see whether extra support is needed. This can simply be done by using blocks of wood or any masonry blocks situated underneath product. Flatter edge rocks, in particularly, may need this method of support.
  • You MUST pre-run your water feature using your pool pump before securing into place, as you may need to do some further trimming off the bottom edges to achieve a leveled water flow. A small amount of water will not give you the correct gage.
  • We also recommend that you place a real rock or one of our smaller pump cover rocks over the water outlet as this helps disperse the water flow evenly.
  • Universal Rocks have proven to be durable since 1997, when correct chlorine & chemical levels are maintained. When and if higher levels are needed, simply lower water level below rock overhang and do not run waterfall until levels have returned to normal.
  • It is highly recommended that you DO NOT climb or jump off Universal Rocks into your pool due to safety concerns.
